Making learning enjoyable, challenging and rewarding.

Thanks to a supportive family, faith and hard work I have been busily toiling away in the education sector since 2005. I have worked as a learning assistant, a teacher, a tutor as well as an educational workshop leader. It has been and continues to be a truly stimulating, challenging and most rewarding of sectors to be working in.

"Our son really enjoyed all of his lessons with Nick, even during lockdown whilst everything was remote.
Nick takes the time to understand what motivates his students and ensures each lesson is good fun and educational…"

NB, 2022: Tuitoion for the 11+

I have taught in Private Schools and State schools from the Isle of Man to Edinburgh. I have gained years of experience supporting primary and secondary aged children with Special Educational Needs. Children from Year 3 up to A/AS level and even students in further education have all asked for my help with their learning. Now permanently based in Northiam, East Sussex, I am also really enjoying working with the wonderful 'Hands on History' company to deliver History workshops to schools supporting their mission to bring learning to life.

Feedback

"Our daughter thoroughly enjoys all her lessons with Nick and looks forward to seeing him each week. He makes her learning fun and is creative in the way he approaches topics with her; ensuring that she is always engaged and ‘on board’ with her learning. He sets realistic amounts of homework and gives helpful feedback at the end of each session. We feel really lucky to have him helping our daughter and would recommend him to anyone who was looking for a tutor. Huge thanks, Nick."

"A very good tutor and a great teacher. My son enjoyed very much on all his tutoring sessions. He is kind, patience, well planned, and willing to offer a lot of extra support to my son in various subjects learning."

"Nick is a very enagging young man who is kind and patient with our daughter who has mild special educational needs. He has carefully and conscientiously assessed her strengths and weaknesses and adapted her English lessons to suit. He gives us regular feed back and encourages her to complete a short piece of homework each week, which she is happy to complete without prompting or argument! She is now much more focused in her lessons and they work very well together. Long may it continue."
